CalcIndexFromPos Method, SftTree Object

Returns the item index for given coordinates.

Syntax

VB.NETBoolean = object.CalcIndexFromPos(ByVal xPos As Single, ByVal yPos As Single, ByRef ItemIndex As Integer, ByRef RowHeader As Boolean) As Boolean
VBBoolean = object.CalcIndexFromPos(ByVal xPos As Single, ByVal yPos As Single, ItemIndex As Long, RowHeader As Boolean) As Boolean
C#.NETbool Boolean = object.CalcIndexFromPos(float xPos, float yPos, out int ItemIndex, out bool RowHeader);
VC++VARIANT_BOOL Boolean = object->CalcIndexFromPos(float xPos, float yPos, long* ItemIndex, VARIANT_BOOL* RowHeader);
CHRESULT object->raw_CalcIndexFromPos(float xPos, float yPos, long* ItemIndex, VARIANT_BOOL* RowHeader, VARIANT_BOOL* Boolean);

object

A SftTree object.

xPos

The horizontal position relative to the top, left corner of the tree control. The units used depend on the container (Visual Basic, Visual C++, etc.) and the coordinate system used.

yPos

The vertical position relative to the top, left corner of the tree control. The units used depend on the container (Visual Basic, Visual C++, etc.) and the coordinate system used.

ItemIndex

Returns the item index at the specified coordinates xPos, yPos.

RowHeader

Returns True if the position is in the row header area, otherwise False is returned.

Boolean

BooleanDescription
TrueAn item was located at the specified coordinates xPos, yPos.
FalseNo item was located at the specified coordinates xPos, yPos.

Comments

The CalcIndexFromPos method returns the item index for given coordinates.

The CalcIndexFromPos and CalcIndexFromPosPix methods are synonyms, but may use different coordinate systems.

CalcCellFromPos can be used to determine the cell. CalcColumnFromPos can be used to determine The zero-based column number.
