Comments

The DataObject property defines the item's application specific object value.

Additional properties used to associate an application defined value with an item are Item.Data, Item.DataFloat, Item.DataString and Item.DataTag. These are distinct properties and can be used at the same time.

When using .NET languages, the Item.DataTag property should be used instead. DataObject is intended to be used with COM objects only.

Cell related data can be saved using the Cell.Data, Cell.DataObject, Cell.DataString and Cell.DataTag properties.
