Offset Property, SftTreeSplitter Object

Defines the horizontal offset of the splitter bar in a split tree control.

Syntax

Get

VB.NETOffset = object.Offset As Single
VBOffset = object.Offset As Single
C#.NETfloat Offset = object.Offset;
VC++float Offset = object->Offset;
float Offset = object->GetOffset();
CHRESULT object->get_Offset(float* Offset);

Put

VB.NETobject.Offset = Offset As Single
VBobject.Offset = Offset As Single
C#.NETfloat object.Offset = Offset;
VC++float object->Offset = Offset;
void object->PutOffset(float Offset);
CHRESULT object->put_Offset(float Offset);

object

A SftTreeSplitter object.

Offset

Defines the horizontal offset of the splitter bar in a split tree control. If -1 is specified, the splitter bar is centered in the tree control's client area making each pane the same size and the Offset property is updated with the actual offset. If the offset specified falls outside of the client area, the splitter bar is aligned with the left or right edge, whichever is closer to the offset specified. The units used depend on the container (Visual Basic, Visual C++, etc.) and the coordinate system used.

Comments

The Offset property defines the horizontal offset of the splitter bar in a split tree control.

The Offset and Splitter.OffsetPix properties are synonyms, but may use different coordinate systems.

The Splitter.Visible property is used to define a splitter bar.

Splitter.MakeOptimal can be used to position the splitter bar optimally, so the left pane can display as much data as possible without a horizontal scroll bar (based on the left pane's Items.HorizontalExtent property).

The coordinates of the splitter bar can be retrieved using Splitter.GetPosition.

The Splitter.Width property is used to change the width of the splitter bar.
