Type
Defines the control's border look.
| Value | Description |
|---|---|
| 0 | Flat, without visual effects. |
| 1 | Paints the control border with three dimensional effects. |
The Appearance property defines the control's border look.
The Appearance property affects the border drawn around the control. If the BorderStyle property defines a border, the Appearance property will cause it to be painted using a 3D effect.
The Items.Appearance property can be used to give items a 3D look.
The Appearance property does not affect the drop down portion. Its border cannot be changed.
If Windows themes are used, this property will cause a border to be displayed (if set to 1), rendered using the current theme's style.
This property is read/only at run-time.
