In a drop down or drop down list combo box, the user can make a list of items visible by clicking on the drop down button or by using the F4 key or down arrow key (see SftBoxDropDown.ExtendedUI).
A simple combo box always displays the drop down portion.
Using the DropDown.DropOnFocus property, the drop down portion can automatically become visible when the combo box receives the input focus.
Using the DropDown.DropOnInput property, the drop down portion can automatically become visible when the user types character input into the edit control portion.
If a combo box has no items, the drop down portion cannot be made visible.
The drop down portion can display a sizing box, which can be used to resize the drop down portion.
Attributes of the drop down portion can be defined using the SftBoxDropDown object.
