The DeleteDependents method deletes the item's dependents (child items).
DeleteDependents removes all child items of the item described by object. By deleting the item's dependents, the item becomes a leaf item which can no longer be expanded or collapsed. It is not an error to use the DeleteDependents method if an item doesn't have any dependents. The item itself is not deleted. To delete an item, the Items.Remove method can be used.
The drop down portion is automatically hidden when the combo box contents are changed using this method. The DropDown.SuppressOn method can be used to suppress hiding the drop down portion when adding/inserting items.
