Sort Indicators

Sort indicators are optional components shown as part of column headers when sort indicators are enabled using the EnableSortIndicators function.

The images cannot be customized.

Sort Indicator

When the header is clicked the SFTTREEN_LBUTTONDOWN_COLUMN_HEADER notification can be handled by the application to implement sorting behavior using the SortDependents function. The ContextMenu sample demonstrates how sorting can be implemented using the GetSortColumn1 and SortDependents functions.
