Values for the iInputMode field on SFTMASK_CONTROL, defining the control's insert/overtype mode behavior (see Insert/Overtype Mode).
| SFTMASK_INPUTINSERTONLY (0) | The control always uses insert mode. The Insert key has no effect. Default. |
| SFTMASK_INPUTINSERT (1) | The control starts in insert mode. The Insert key toggles the mode; the mode persists for this control. |
| SFTMASK_INPUTOVERTYPE (2) | The control starts in overtype mode. The Insert key toggles the mode; the mode persists for this control. |
| SFTMASK_INPUTINSERTENTRY (3) | The control uses insert mode every time it receives the input focus. The Insert key toggles the mode for the current entry only. |
| SFTMASK_INPUTOVERTYPEENTRY (4) | The control uses overtype mode every time it receives the input focus. The Insert key toggles the mode for the current entry only. |
| SFTMASK_INPUTINSERTAPPGLOBAL (5) | The insert/overtype mode is shared by all masked edit controls of the application which use this setting. The Insert key toggles the shared mode. |
The current mode is reported to the application through the NM_SFTMASK_INPUTMODEUPDATE notification. The fInsert field reflects and sets the current mode.
