GetToolTipHandle

Returns the window handle of the ToolTip control used by the tab control.

Parameters

hwndCtl

The window handle of the tab control.

Returns

The return value is the window handle of the ToolTip control used by the tab control, or NULL if the tab control has not created a ToolTip control yet (for example, because ToolTips have not been enabled or none has been displayed).

Comments

The GetToolTipHandle function returns the window handle of the ToolTip control the tab control uses to display its ToolTips.

An application can use the returned handle to send TTM_xxx messages to the ToolTip control to customize its appearance or behavior. The tab control owns the ToolTip control; the application must not destroy it or change its parent window.
