The Tag property defines the item's application specific variant value.

The Item.DataTag property can be used for sorting purposes using the Items.Sort method or can be located using the Items.FindDataTag method.

The Item.Data and Item.DataObject properties can be used to store additional application specific data, using other data types (numeric values, objects).

Additional properties used to associate an application defined value with a cell are Cell.Data, Cell.DataString, Cell.DataTag and Cell.DataObject. These are distinct properties and can be used at the same time.
