Comments
The SelectionAccept event occurs when the current selection is accepted (permanently).
The SelectionChange event should be used to determine when the selection changes.
The SelectionAccept event occurs when the user makes a selection (for example by hitting the ENTER key or by clicking on an item) and the drop down portion is about to be hidden. A simple combo box does not generate the SelectionAccept event.
The application can prevent the drop down portion from being hidden by using the CancelMode method. If a message box is displayed by the application to notify the user of an error, keep in mind that the combo box drop down portion will be hidden, due to the fact that the control loses the input focus. You can display the drop down portion on return from the message box using the DropDown.Dropped property.
The SelectionCancel event occurs when the drop down portion is hidden without the user making a selection (for example by hitting the ESCAPE key).
