Print

Product Description

SftTabs/OCX is an ActiveX control for Visual Basic 6 and the Windows™ operating system, offering an alternative method of displaying multiple dialogs or cascading menu selections, by displaying tabs as found in a file cabinet or a notebook. For environments other than Visual Basic 6 please see our products SftTabs/NET and SftTabs/DLL instead.

Tab Control

SftTabs/OCX offers many features; from a simple, single-row tab control to a multi-row, multi-color tab control in a notebook style.

Royalties

Any application that you develop can use SftTabs/OCX royalty-free in run-time only mode; design-time features are not available. Each user (developer) who needs access to design-time features must license a copy of SftTabs/OCX.

Source Code

The source code for the control and property pages (written in Microsoft Visual C++ using the ATL framework) is optionally available under our Enterprise Licensing program. Any application that you develop can use SftTabs/OCX royalty-free (some restrictions apply), as long as only the redistributable files are shipped with your application.

Languages Supported

SftTabs/OCX supports Visual Basic 6.0 only. Even though it is an ActiveX control which conforms to the latest standards, it cannot be used with other control containers (such as Visual C++, Delphi, etc.) as these do not offer the required interfaces that our product requires for containment of controls within the tab control. It is possible to use the tab control without control containment in many other environments, however we only support this product when used with Visual Basic 6.0.

For environments other than Visual Basic 6 please see our products SftTabs/NET and SftTabs/DLL instead.

Environments Supported

SftTabs/OCX supports Windows 98, Windows ME and Windows 2000 through Windows 10 and their server editions using the same set of properties, events and methods.

UNICODE support and DBCS character support is available on all supported platforms.
